2 teens arrested after 19 Wimberley businesses burglarized overnight

WIMBERLEY, Texas – Two 17-year-olds were arrested Wednesday after 19 businesses in Wimberley were broken into between Tuesday evening and early Wednesday morning.

Deputies with the Hays County Sherrif's Office were called to the Wimberley Square after a witness reported seeing two males running from the area after hearing glass break.

Deputies were able to identify and arrest Levi Travis Weed and Ricky Lee Saine Ehlert in connection with the break-ins.

Detectives said items stolen from the 19 businesses in the downtown Wimberley area included money, goods, jewelry, electronic devices, tobacco and alcohol.

HCSO officials said they were able to recover some of the stolen items and that the investigation is ongoing.
