SAN ANTONIO – A 64-year-old man is in the Bexar County Jail, accused of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl.
San Antonio police arrested Ruben Villarreal Wednesday afternoon on a charge of sexual assault of a child.
San Antonio police spokeswoman Officer Misty Floyd said the department received an anonymous call about the alleged incident in July and that led to Villarreal's arrest.
However, they believe this isn't the first time Villarreal has done this.
"It appears that the assaults have been going on with several victims over the course of multiple decades," Floyd said.
Floyd said investigators hope that with Villarreal's arrest, those other victims will come forward.
