SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or people responsible for the death of a 73-year-old man.

Guillermo Ybarra was found dead inside his apartment in the 900 block of Vance Jackson on Nov. 25.

SAPD officials said during their investigation they found several of his items were missing including his silver 2008 Hyundai Accent.

That vehicle was located days later at the Canlen Apartments in the 3500 block of West Avenue.

Police believe Ybarra may have known the individual responsible for the slaying because there were no signs of forced entry into his apartment.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP. Callers can remain anonymous.
