Rescue crews pull driver from car in ditch

Driver lost control of car on I-10 access road near Fredericksburg Road

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio fire and rescue crews pulled a driver from a car stuck in a drainage ditch late Thursday night.

San Antonio police said the driver was speeding on the westbound I-10 access road near Fredericksburg Road when he lost control, jumped a curb and slammed into a traffic sign.

The car finally came to a stop in the ditch. The driver was taken to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police did not say if any other vehicles were involved.
