Police: Men stole Xbox at gunpoint from Craigslist seller

Cecil Grandberry, 23, Maurice Stevenson, 19, arrested on aggravated robbery charges

SAN ANTONIO – Two men are accused of stealing an Xbox video game system from another man at gunpoint.

Cecil Grandberry, 23, and Maurice Stevenson, 19, have been arrested on aggravated robbery charges.

The 20-year-old victim told police he had placed an ad on Craigslist, announcing that the video game system was for sale.

According to an arrest affidavit, he said he met with Stevenson on Dec. 9 outside Walmart on DeZavala Road after he called expressing interest in buying it.

The man, however, said after he met up with him, Stevenson called Grandberry to the scene, pretending that he wanted him there to give a second opinion about the purchase, the affidavit stated.

Instead, he said Grandberry pulled out a gun and ordered him to hand over the Xbox, the affidavit stated.

Police who responded to the reported robbery said they found fingerprints from the suspects at the scene.

They then showed photos of both suspects to the game owner and he identified both Stevenson and Grandberry as the men who robbed him, the affidavit stated.
