SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in the driveway of a South Side home Wednesday morning.
Police investigators said the woman was found in the 300 block of Cordero, near Burbank High School.
The homeowner told police she was leaving to do some shopping when she noticed a body on the ground underneath the front of a parked truck.
Police said the body is that of a Hispanic woman, about 5 feet 4 inches tall, between 20 and 30 years old. They say she was fully clothed and she still had her purse.
Investigators said there was no obvious signs of trauma initially, but there was blood on the ground. They're not sure if the woman had been involved in an accident, was trying to look for help, or had been killed.
They said homeowner told them she didn't hear any noise or anyone screaming overnight.
The discovery comes less than a week after 15-year-old Natalie Chavez was found strangled to death under a West Side bridge.
A spokesperson with the San Antonio Police Department described the death as very suspicious, but as of yet, no one has been arrested in connection with her death.
