Red light runner causes West Side crash

Crash happened on W. Commerce and 19th St.

SAN ANTONIO – The driver of a white SUV was cited after running a red light and colliding with a Mustang Friday, police said.

It happened around 10 p.m. on the city's West Side at the intersection of West Commerce and 19th Streets.

Officers said the Mustang was traveling west on Commerce Street when he crashed into the the other vehicle.

The collision caused the SUV to flip and roll over onto its side.

EMS was called to the scene but the driver of the SUV refused treatment.

Police did not report any serious injuries.

The driver of the SUV was cited for driving without insurance.
