Early voting in Jan. 6 special election ends Friday

State Senate, State Representative seats on the ballot

SAN ANTONIO – With a break for New Year's Day, early voting will resume Friday – the last day for voters to cast their ballot in a special election.

Two seats were left empty in November, part of a chain reaction of elected officials leaving one seat to run for another. Democrat Mike Villarreal resigned from the Dist. 123 seat in the Texas Legislature to run for mayor of San Antonio. Democrat Leticia Van de Putte resigned from the State Senate Dist. 26 seat to also run for mayor of San Antonio.
