Several taken to hospitals in multiple overnight wrecks

Drivers, passengers flee scene of accidents

SAN ANTONIO – The roads of San Antonio were a dangerous place Wednesday night and into Thursday morning as several people were taken to area hospitals after numerous traffic accidents.

A man fled the scene of an accident after rolling the vehicle he was driving on Loop 410 near the 151 exit. The accident happened around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday.

A woman who was riding in the car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. 

About 10 minutes later, a woman lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a fence on Judson Road near Lookout Road. 

Police said the woman hit a curb, bumped into the guardrail and crashed through a fence before going down an embankment. 

She was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition.

Another woman was taken to the hospital after rolling her car around midnight. 

The accident happened in the 400 block of Mayfield Boulevard when the woman ran into a parked car, causing her car to flip.

Before she was taken to the hospital, a passenger in the car fled on foot. 

In a separate crash around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, a man lost control of his vehicle, hit a curb and slammed into a tree.

A woman riding in the car suffered a broken leg in the wreck on Southcross Boulevard near Interstate 35. 

The man was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
