Surveillance video helps police nab TV theft suspect

23-year-old Karl Yarbrough charged with burglary

SAN ANTONIO – A Northeast Side man has been arrested in connection with the theft of a 50-inch flat screen TV from a local business.

According to an arrest affidavit, the crime was captured on surveillance video and that proved to be what led to the arrest of 23-year-old Karl Yarbrough.

The affidavit stated Yarbrough and another man are accused of stealing the TV from a furniture rental business.

Police said Yarbrough had been to the business twice before as a customer in the days just before the burglary in September.

A store worker recognized him immediately upon watching the surveillance video.

A police officer also thought he looked familiar and realized that he had prior run-ins with Yarbrough, the affidavit stated.

Yarbrough was arrested Tuesday on a burglary charge.
