Judson ISD names new superintendent

Dr. Carl Montoya will replace Willis Mackey for new school year


SAN ANTONIO – The Judson Independent School District has named its finalist for the new superintendent.

The board of Trustees selected Carl Montoya on Wednesday to be the new superintendent.

Montoya is coming from the Brownsville Independent School District where he served as the superintendent.

Montoya will replace Willis Mackey, who will be retiring at the end of the school year.

Montoya has held the same position in Aransas Pass before moving to Brownsville.
