Man arrested in sex assault of teen

Kevin Hartsfield, 38, facing aggravated sexual assault charges

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police on Tuesday arrested a man wanted in the sexual assault of a 17-year-old.

The victim said she was on her way home in the 11300 block of Expo Boulevard on Dec. 27 when she was attacked by a man who police have identified as 38-year-old Kevin Hartsfield.

Police investigators said despite Hartsfield wearing a ski mask and gloves, the victim saw his face and noticed a tattoo on his stomach.

She fought him and was punched and choked until she stopped moving.

Hartsfield was arrested Tuesday and taken to a hospital for a medical condition. He has not been booked in the jail yet.

Police last month released a composite sketch of the suspect. A mugshot for Hartsfield was not immediately available.
