SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed that the burned body of a woman found on the city's East Side is that of Dawanna Thomas, 18.
Thomas' body was was discovered near a bridge by firefighters around 9 p.m. Saturday at Schuwirth Road near FM 1346.
She had been reported missing earlier that day by familiy.
Family members told KSAT 12 on Sunday that Thomas was pregnant.
The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death as a homicide.
