What should you do if you get pulled over at night?

There's probably never a good time to see flashing lights from a patrol car in your rear view mirror. What should you do if you're being pulled over at night?

Officer Marcus Trujillo with the San Antonio Police Department has some advice:

"A lot of people understandably are intimidated when the lights go on behind them. However, if it's at night, there's little to no traffic out and around and you're just unsure about being stopped – particularly in the dark – it's not a problem at all for you to acknowledge that the officer is behind you by waving with all five fingers right in front of you in the rear view mirror and put your hazard lights on and then proceed to the next exit and pull into a well it area for the traffic stop to proceed."
