Man shot, robbed at SE Side bus stop

Suspect sought after shooting, robbery at bus stop near New Braunfels at Fair Avenue

SAN ANTONIO – A man believed to be in his mid-50s was robbed and shot at a Southeast Side bus stop early Wednesday morning, San Antonio police said.

The victim was standing at a bus stop near the intersection of New Braunfels and Fair Avenue when he was approached by a suspect around 5:30 a.m.

The suspect demanded the victim's wallet and shot him in the chest before he fled the scene.

The victim was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition, and police continue to search for the gunman. 

Officers got a vague description of the suspect and said the investigation is ongoing.
