Boy, 11, disappears in cold weather

Anthony Sosa had no shoes, jacket when he left Schertz home

SAN ANTONIO – Officials in Schertz are asking for help in finding an 11-year-old boy who left his Schertz home early Thursday morning.

The mother of Anthony Sosa said the boy ran away from their home wearing green pajamas with dinosaurs printed on them. She said he did not have shoes or a jacket on.

Temperatures dipped down into the lower 30s Thursday morning.

Anthony Sosa is described as a Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes. He's about 4 feet tall and weighs about 60 pounds.

He was last seen around 7:30 a.m. on Hillbrook heading toward Schaefer Road.

Members of the Schertz police, fire, EMS and Marshals departments, along with Bexar County Sheriff's deputies and San Antonio police are assisting in the search.

Anyone who may have seen Sosa is asked to call 911.
