SAN ANTONIO – The new Wuzbach Parkway is one step closer to being complete.
Texas Department of Transportation officials Thursday said another section of the parkway is expected to fully open next week.
The section between Jones Maltsberger and Wetmore is already open to eastbound traffic. The westbound lanes will open next week.
The final remaining segment is the stretch going over Highway 281, connecting Jones Maltsberger to West Avenue.
That portion is expected to be completed sometime this summer.
When it's finally complete, the Wurzbach Parkway will give drivers another option when traveling across the city's North Side.
