SAN ANTONIO – An employee of a Northwest side vision center and two other people were arrested in connection with the armed robbery of the business.

An arrest warrant affidavit stated that Margarita Rodriguez, 29, and Carlos Delgado, 23, walked into Eyetx Vision Center in the 5400 block of DeZavala Road on Friday and showed a gun and demanded money and eyeglasses.

A worker in the store identified as Christopher Delafuente, 21, filled one of the suspect's bags with eyeglasses from the display cases, the affidavit stated.

Detectives later received information that the stolen eyeglasses were being offered for sale in a Craigslist ad, which also included a phone number for the seller.

The affidavit stated that police realized the phone number was the same as the one that Delafuente had given them as his contact number.

Detectives posing as interested buyers then met up with the three suspects and found the stolen glasses in their possession, the affidavit stated. They arrested the trio on unrelated charges.

During questioning, Rodriguez and Delgado both confessed to the robbery and said Delafuente asked them to commit the crime, the affidavit stated.

A charge of aggravated robbery was filed against the suspects Saturday.
