SAN ANTONIO – A 21-year-old man is facing a new charge of aggravated robbery after confessing to a crime while he was in custody for a similar incident.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Jesse Garcia was taken into custody for an armed robbery March 3.

While detectives were questioning him in that case, Garcia admitted to robbing a convenience store Feb. 19. In that case, a clerk at an AB Food Mart was robbed at gunpoint.

Police said a man walked into the business in the 11,000 block of Interstate 35 North and used the restroom. He then grabbed a soda and displayed a gun and demanded cash, the affidavit stated.

Detectives said Garcia admitted he was responsible for the crime and told them he got $300 during that robbery, the affidavit stated.
