Judge awards SA strippers $125,000, doubles it

Alexis Alex awarded $60k, Nicolette Prieto given $65k

SAN ANTONIO – A pair of former exotic dancers who sued a North Side strip club for back pay have been awarded a quarter of a million dollars.

Federal Judge Royce Lamberth awarded Alexis Alex $60,000 and Nicolette Prieto $65,000.

Lamberth doubled the award, saying that Tiffany's Cabaret, the club where the women worked, did not operate in good faith.

Alex, 27, and Prieto, 31, worked at the club during a three-year period from 2010 to 2013.

The women's lawsuit, which was filed in August 2013, claimed that the club violated the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
