Heavy rain in forecast; Flash flood watch in effect

2 to 4 inches possible in some areas

SAN ANTONIO – The ingredients are coming together for a heavy rain event Friday night through Saturday afternoon.

The rain should gradually become more widespread with the heaviest showers Friday night into midday Saturday.

Widespread rainfall accumulations of 2-4 inches can be expected with localized amounts approaching 5 inches where the heaviest rain bands setup.

In turn, a Flash Flood Watch is in effect through Sunday evening.

Sunday will be the day to get outside as the sun returns and highs approach 80 degrees.
