Cold front to bring showers, storms to South Texas

SAN ANTONIO – Keep those raincoats and umbrellas handy! A cold front is headed toward South Texas and soon you'll feel its effects.

KSAT Meteorologist Adam Caskey says to expect scattered showers and storms to develop late tonight/early Thursday morning (before dawn) and move north to south.

Once the cold front hits your neighborhood Thursday morning, you'll notice a rush of cooler and less humid air along with a gusty north wind.

The morning temperatures should briefly dip into the 50s, then slowly rebound to near 70 degrees by the afternoon, with a mixture of sun and clouds.

By Friday, Caskey says we're looking at a cool morning in the upper 40s, then a sunny and warm afternoon near 80 degrees.
