Ex-Spurs player arrested while waiting for trial

Alvin Robertson awaits trial on child sex-trafficking charge

SAN ANTONIO – Former San Antonio Spurs player Alvin Robertson has been arrested again as he awaits trial on a child sex-trafficking charge.

San Antonio police said he was arrested Tuesday for violating conditions of his pretrial bond. He remains in custody.

According to court files, Robertson has accumulated 10 violations.

The most recent one was for testing positive for methamphetamine, making unauthorized stops while on GPS monitoring and failing to enroll in a substance abuse treatment program.

Robertson's legal troubles begin in 2009, when authorities alleged that he and six others were involved in a sex-trafficking ring involving a 14-year-old girl who was prostituted in San Antonio and Corpus Christi.
