SAN ANTONIO – A woman who was killed after slamming her car into a horse on the South Side has been identified as 69-year-old Raquel Iruegas.
Investigators say Iruegas was driving on Highway 281 South near Loop 1604 Tuesday night when her car hit the horse, which was standing in the middle of the road.

Bexar County deputies believe Iruegas did not see the horse.
The animal also died in the collision.
