SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police responded to a fatal accident Friday morning on the East Side that involved a man who was run over by his own truck.
Officers responded to the accident in the 500 block of Essex off Pine Street after 5 a.m.
According to SAPD officials, the victim was in his driveway using another vehicle to try and push his truck out of the way.
The pickup got away from the victim and he attempted to jump in the cab, but tripped and was run over.
Officers said the investigation into this fatal accident is ongoing.
There is no word if anyone else was with the victim when the accident occurred.
The victim's name or age has not been released.
