SAN ANTONIO – Thousands of spectators lined the streets of downtown San Antonio on Good Friday to witness the annual Passion Play.

Every year, hundreds of actors and actresses dressed as Roman soldiers and mourning women are involved in the powerful re-enactment of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

The elaborate play though the streets of downtown San Antonio attracts a world-wide following.

A prayer service starts at 10 a.m. at Milam Park and the play follows from Market Square to San Fernando Cathedral in Main Plaza.
