West Side bust nets $140K in drugs, cash, guns

One man facing felony drug charges

SAN ANTONIO – Drugs, cash and guns were seized from a West Side home Thursday night, San Antonio police said.

San Antonio Police narcotics officers went to the home earlier Thursday with a search warrant.

Inside, police found crystal meth, 16,000 ecstacy pills, the prescription drug Xanax, other pills and more than 15 pounds of high-grade marijuana.

"It comes in a more potent concentration of THC in the marijuana, sometimes in excess of eight to 10 times the concentration of what normal, run-of-the mill marijuana that you see on a daily basis," said Sgt. Javier Salazar.

The drugs were worth more than $140,000 on the street, police said.

Investigators also found more than $25,000 cash and guns.

One man in his early 30s was taken into custody for felony drug charges. Police have not released his name.
