HEB issues voluntary withdrawal of all Blue Bell products

Ice cream company has recalled select products due to listeria concerns

SAN ANTONIO – HEB has issued a voluntary withdrawal of all Blue Bell Ice Cream products sold in its stores.

The ice cream company issued a voluntary recall of some of its products Friday due to listeria concerns. The company also shut down a manufactoring plant in Oklahoma.

HEB said in a statement Friday that the grocery store chain has removed all Blue Bell products from its shelves as a precautionary measure due to food safety concerns.

"Working with Blue Bell, we will replenish our shelves with new product as soon as feasible," the statement said.

HEB said customers with questions or concerns may return Blue Bell products to HEB stores for a refund. HEB Customer Relations can be reached at 1-855-432-4438 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
