SAN ANTONIO – A man is behind bars Sunday after punching out the window of his ex-girlfriend's car and leading authorities on a brief chase.
The Bexar County Sheriff's Office said the man spotted his ex-girlfriend in a car on South Foster Road near Highway 87.
He began ramming her vehicle and forced her to stop. The Sheriff's Office said the man then approached the woman's vehicle and punched a window out.
A nearby deputy approached the scene and the man fled in his vehicle.
The man then led authorities on a car chase lasting about a mile, running several red lights in the process.
He eventually led the Bexar deputy and a China Grove police officer back to the original scene where he stopped and was arrested.
Both the man and the ex-girlfriend suffered minor injuries.
The Sheriff's Office said narcotics were found in the man's car. He is now facing multiple charges.
