Severe storms, lightning hit counties southeast of SA


SAN ANTONIO – Severe storms with heavy lightning continue to move through counties southeast of San Antonio early Tuesday morning.  

KSAT Weather Authority Meteorologist Mike Osterhage says those huge thunderstorms are dumping heavy rain in the area and reached severe levels around 5:30 a.m.

Severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for Live Oak and Bee counties until 6:30 a.m.

A flash flood warning was also issued for La Salle, McMullen and Webb counties. Those warnings were all set to expire by 7 a.m.

In the San Antonio area, Mike says we could see scattered showers and storms this afternoon with a high of 80.
