SAN ANTONIO – Soccer fans attending Wednesday's match featuring the United States and Mexico men's national teams are encouraged to ride VIA transportation to and from the Alamodome.
The city of San Antonio said fans should plan to arrive at the stadium an hour ahead of the sold-out match.
An increased traffic volume and construction in the area are expected to make drive times longer than normal.
Parking at the Alamodome is limited with lots opening at 3:30 p.m. at $25 per vehicle.
Fans are encouraged to use VIA park-and-ride service from AT&T Center lots 6 and 7.
Buses will begin service to the dome Wednesday at 4 p.m. Return service to the AT&T Center will run for 45 minutes after the match ends.
Fans can take advantage of the park-and-ride service for $2.50 each way (cash only) with discounts available for children, seniors, Medicare recipients and students. VIAtrans customers and children under five years of age ride free. VIA's passes will not be accepted. Click here for more information on park-and-ride.
