SAPD: Drug dealer robbed of pot; 5 arrested

Gunfire lead police to suspects

SAN ANTONIO – Police arrested five people Tuesday night after they robbed a drug dealer of a large amount of marijuana and were later found in possession of several loaded weapons, officials said.

Bexar County Sheriff's Office deputies followed a speeding car after they heard gunfire on Northwest 19th Street at 8 p.m., police said.

Since the deputies were not in a typical patrol cruiser, they called the San Antonio Police Department for help.

SAPD stopped the car at the intersection of Timber Creek and West Military, officials said.

Police found several loaded guns and a large amount of marijuana in the car, police said.

Four men and a woman in their 20s were arrested.

They will be charged with deadly conduct, felony possession of weapons, aggravated assault and possession of marijuana, police said.
