SAN ANTONIO – A stalking charge has been filed against a 41-year-old man in connection with what his ex-girlfriend described an an ongoing campaign of harassment.
An arrest warrant affidavit stated that the woman filed several complaints with the San Antonio Police Department and one with the Alamo Heights Police Department.
The affidavit stated that the woman told investigators that she broke up with Juan DeLeon last July, but he would not leave her alone despite warnings by officers to stay away.
The woman told police that DeLeon vandalized her car numerous times, causing more than $4,000 in damage. She said DeLeon also has visited her home repeatedly and showed up at her job at least once, the affidavit stated.
Police said the woman provided them with surveillance video that showed DeLeon on several occasions climbed over the fence at her home and knocked on her window, the affidavit stated.
DeLeon was arrested Tuesday on a stalking charge.
The affidavit stated that Alamo Heights police also have an ongoing investigation stemming from the claim that DeLeon showned up at the woman's home uninvited.
