Early voting for SA mayor, city council ends today

City representative salaries also on ballot


SAN ANTONIO – Early voting in the election to decide the next mayor of San Antonio and 10 city council seats runs through Tuesday, May 5.

A total of 14 candidates are running for mayor of San Antonio and all city council incumbents face opposition.

Voters will also be able to vote on the issue of whether or not city representatives should earn a salary, and requiring a public vote to use city streets for streetcar or any rail project.

Council seats for Bexar County's suburban cities, several school board positions and bond elections will all be voted on as well. Election day is Saturday, May 9.
