SAPD: Woman stole purse from West Side apartment worker

Subrina Ramirez, 23, charged with theft

SAN ANTONIO – A 23-year-old woman identified as Subrina Ramirez is accused of taking a purse from the office of a woman who works in a West Side apartment complex and attempting to use her debit card.

An arrest affidavit stated that the victim called police in March after receiving a call from her bank, warning her of unusual activity on her debit card.

When the woman went looking for her debit card and the purse that it was in, she was unable to locate them.

The affidavit stated she realized her purse had been stolen from her office in the 500 block of S. Acme Road.

She and her co-worker then went to a nearby convenience store where the card had been used and looked at surveillance video.

The co-worker recognized a woman in the video as someone who had visited the apartment complex office just prior to the theft, the affidavit stated.

San Antonio police continued the investigation and identified Ramirez as the suspect, the affidavit stated.

She was arrested Saturday on a theft charge.
