SAN ANTONIO – A man was wounded in a shooting on the Northeast Side early Thursday morning, San Antonio police said.
The shooting was reported in the 200 block of Rainbow Drive just before 5 a.m.
SAPD officials said the victim, a 36-year-old man, was found on the side of the road with a gunshot wound to the chest area.
Police at the scene believe the shooter was on a motorcycle and opened fire on the victim.
SAPD officials said a man and woman were seen jumping off a motorcycle and getting into another vehicle, a blue SUV, after the shooting. The motorcycle was left behind at the scene.
Police detained some people for questioning, but have not released details on suspects or a motive.
The victim was listed in critical condition at San Antonio Military Medical Center.
