SA entrepreneurs donate pool invention to NISD

Jeremy, Erica Sloan announced partnership with Viva Swim, San Antonio Sports

SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio husband and wife team is giving back to the community with their invention -- the pool buoy.

Entrepreneurs Jeremy and Erica Sloan are the minds behind the first and only floating pool umbrella.

Thursday, the couple debuted the Pool Buoy and announced their partnership with Viva Swim and San Antonio Sports.

The Sloans will be donating some Pool Buoys to the Northside ISD Aquatic Center.

San Antonio Sports CEO Russ Bookbinder said he's happy about the donation and that the Pool Buoys will help expand swimming lessons.

"We're happy for Northside to get this, we're happy to be part of it, but we're all about getting kids in the pool safely and teaching them how to swim," Bookbinder said.

Viva Swim teaches children and adults to swim.
