SAPD: Robbery suspect's mother hands over evidence

Jesus Parrott 21, believed to be linked to several robberies

SAN ANTONIO – Jesus Parrott, 21, has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery after his mother turned over evidence in the case, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

The affidavit stated that the mother told San Antonio police she found another man's wallet and cell phone in her son's room after she kicked him out of her home.

Police believe the wallet and cell phone were taken from a 20-year-old man who reported in April that he was robbed at gunpoint while walking down a street in Southtown.

The affidavit stated that the victim said two men jumped out of an SUV, pointed a gun at him and demanded money and then beat and kicked him.

Police said they received an anonymous tip from someone who told them Parrott had been robbing people in that part of town, the affidavit stated.

Parrott was arrested Thursday on one count of aggravated robbery.
