NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – The city of New Braunfels closed the Comal River to recreation Monday evening.
Heavy rains produced high and fast moving water, prompting the closure, the city said.
River conditions will be reevaluated Tuesday morning.
The river was reopened Monday morning after closing over the weekend.
Water has gone over the top of the Tube Chute dam as of Monday at 8:15 p.m.
