Heavy rains cause repeat of sewer spill in San Antonio

SA Water System crews work to control spill in far north side of city

SAN ANTONIO – Crews with the San Antonio Water System are working to control a sewer spill in the far north side of the city that was caused by this weekend's storms, authorities said.

The spill is near the Boerne Stage Road area by Interstate 10 West, according to SAWS.

SAWS personnel are projecting the spill to be greater than 50,000 gallons, which is a reportable level.

Due to dilution by stormwater, no adverse impacts have been observed, SAWS officials said.

Crews will continue to monitor the area.
