SA to host IPW Marketplace in 2023

Event will be first for SA, first in Texas in 20 years

ORLANDO, Fla. – San Antonio has been selected to host the 2023 IPW conference, considered the travel industry's premier international marketplace.

This will be the Alamo City's first chance to host the landmark event, which attracts nearly 2,400 travel organizations and domestic and international buyers from more than 70 countries.

"In 2023, the world will be coming to San Antonio," said Casandra Matej, executive director of the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau. "We're excited to bring the largest generator of inbound travel to one of America's most remarkable and popular destinations. This will truly be a game changer for San Antonio."

Roger Dow, president and CEO of the U.S. Travel Association, which selects host cities, said the organization is "thrilled to bring IPW to San Antonio."

Dow said the event will benefit San Antonio and Texas due to the exposure the conference provides.
