Bexar Co. flood control project begins Wednesday

$2 million project to be completed by February 2016

SAN ANTONIO – A project expected to alleviate flooding in West Bexar County will begin Wednesday.

The county says improvements to two low water crossings along Grosenbacher Road near the intersection of Madrona Road will be made.

Drainage culverts near Madrona Road will also be improved to alleviate flooding for residents in that area.

The $2 million project is being funded through the Bexar County flood control program which is a 10 year, $500 million program that pays for projects across Bexar County.

The Grosenbacher project is expected to wrap up next February.
