Accused child sex predator may be in SA-area

Christopher James Lopez, 19, wanted for 2 counts of sexual assault of a child

SAN ANTONIO – A grand jury decided there was enough evidence to indict Christopher James Lopez for sexually assaulting two girls. By the time officers had a warrant for his arrest, Lopez disappeared.

The 19-year-old man was accused of sexually assaulting the girls, both under the age of 17, on separate occasions.

"Lopez made sure that he was alone with each of these victims so no one could hear their cry for help," said Deputy U.S. Marshal Chris Bozeman.

Lopez was indicted in 2014 on two counts of sexual assault.

The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force has been looking for Lopez, who has lived in Live Oak and Seguin.

He has brown eyes and black hair. He is 6'1" tall and weighs 265 pounds.
