Suspect arrested in theft of TV, fridge from motel

San Antonio police: Stolen items found in Jory Eaglin's home

SAN ANTONIO – A theft suspect is accused of stealing a TV and refrigerator from a San Antonio motel where he was not registered as a guest, according to an arrest affidavit.

Jory Eaglin, 22, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of burglary stemming from the June 7 incident at a Comfort Inn.

In the affidavit, San Antonio police said that they developed a lead after the burglary that led them to Eaglin's East Side apartment.

After being allowed inside by another person, police said they saw the stolen TV and refrigerator in plain sight.

They said detectives then saw Eaglin at the apartment complex two days later and eventually took him into custody.

Police questioned Eaglin, who they said admitted to going into the room.

However, they said he told them he did not steal the items, but also couldn't explain why they were in his home.

Eaglin was not a registered guest of the motel at the time, the affidavit stated.
