Family violence fugitive arrested for DWI
Anthony Martinez, 30, arrested for assaulting his uncle
SAN ANTONIO – A man wanted for an attack on his uncle was arrested three weeks after he was featured on KSAT-12 on suspicion of drunk driving.
Anthony Martinez, 30, was arrested just after midnight Thursday for two counts of his second offense of family violence and DWI. Martinez was featured May 20 on KSAT-12's Crime Fighters Takedown Day. During the 12-hour focus on people wanted for various crimes, representatives from the U.S. Marshals Lonestar Fugitive Task Force, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office and the San Antonio Police Department took calls from viewers about the fugitives seen on the air and online.
Martinez's uncle told deputies they were dropped off at a home after a night of drinking in May 2013. The report said Martinez became angry because he lost his cell phone and punched his uncle, knocking one of his teeth loose. Martinez ran to a wooded area before deputies arrived.
He is the ninth featured fugitive arrested.
