SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police say a teenager has confessed to killing his father with a machete.
Police arrested 17-year-old Vincent Briones on a charge of murder after he confessed to the killing Saturday.
A landlord found 51-year-old Victor Briones dead under a pile of grass in the backyard of his home in the 1100 block of Kendalia.
An arrest affidavit says a neighbor became suspicious after seeing Vincent Briones around the house. The neighbor called the landlord, and the landlord told police he spotted Victor Briones' body.
Police investigators said they saw the son driving his father's vehicle and took him into custody for driving without a license.
A detective says in the affidavit that during questioning, Vincent Briones then confessed to killing his father.
They say Vincent Briones said that during a fight with his father, he stabbed Victor Briones in the face.
