BCSO: Woman fired gunshot at man's home over online relationship

Kiara Castillo, 20, charged with deadly conduct

SAN ANTONIO – A suspect identified as Kiara Castillo, 20, is accused of firing a gunshot into the home of a man with whom she was having an online war of words.

Castillo was arrested Saturday on a charge of deadly conduct.

An affidavit related to her arrest stated the alleged victim is a man she met online with whom she had had a relationship.

The man told Bexar County sheriff's detectives that he had posted some derogatory comments about Castillo online after their relationship went sour, the affidavit stated.

On Saturday, the man's sister reported that she was home alone when she heard a gunshot, then saw a red car speeding away from the area, the affidavit stated.

Later, it was discovered that a gunshot had pierced the window of the man's bedroom.

The man told detectives that Castillo later sent him a text message in which she admitted to firing at his window and warned that next time it would be his head, the affidavit stated.

Detectives said they investigated and found pictures of Castillo on Facebook in which she is in possession of weapons, as well as photos of her red Dodge Challenger, the affidavit stated.

Detectives said Castillo also posted comments online in which she insinuated that she had fired the shots at the man's home.
