4 hurt when West Side church scaffolding falls

Fire crews say collapse happened during storm

SAN ANTONIO – Strong winds collapsed a West Side church scaffold as workers prepared for an outdoor service.

The scaffolding fell just before 5 p.m. Saturday in the 2300 block of West Martin Street. Four people were injured

Fire crews said the people were putting up lights on the scaffolding when winds from the storm blew through.

Emergency medical personnel transported two people to the hospital to be checked out and two others for treatment of cuts.
