SAPD: Wrong-way driver arrested after crash

SAN ANTONIO – According to police, a wrong-way driver faced charges after causing a crash that left a woman with serious injuries.

The crash occurred just before 1 a.m. Monday on Woodlawn near Saint Mary's.

Authorities said a man in his 30s was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when he crashed into a woman who was pulling out of a parking space. She was taken to University Hospital in serious condition.

The male driver was arrested and charged with intoxication assault.

Police said the female driver was also intoxicated.
