Motorcyclist injured in crash with dog on West Side

Man lost control after hitting dog

SAN ANTONIO – A man was sent to the hospital Tuesday night after an accident on the West Side.

Police said the accident occurred just before 9:30 p.m. when a motorcyclist hit a dog while traveling down Southwest 36th Street.

He lost control of the motorcycle and hit a curb.

The man was taken to Christus Santa Rosa Hospital to receive treatment for road rash.

Police said he received a ticket for not having motorcycle insurance. Police did not release any information on the condition of the dog.
